Well, as tempting as it is for me to just close the site and start again, we have decided to go ahead with our Sunday update as planned. There are a few issues that I haven't been able to resolve during this horrible move from PHP 5.6 to PHP 7+ and they'll all become known in this short as heck update.

Please go ahead and play Set 1, Set 2, and our Monthly Games which Nikki has been SO KIND TO UPDATE FOR ME while I attempt to fix all of the randomizers, which has turned out to be a very big job. Thanks for all of the patience, guys!

So, I feel terrible, but switching to a newer version of PHP broke the entire site. I knew this, but for security reasons and just wanting an updated site, I thought it would be a great idea! What this means for me, as an admin, is that I have to go and switch out every instance of MySQL and exchange it for the newer MySQLi, as well as find other instances of things that need to be changed. This also means that for some reason, I am having an impossible time updating our admin panel. That means I can't release decks unless I do it manually and I am just too frustrated with the site to even live the truth right now, angels.
In light of everything, I am not giving up and I think I'll just need to seek a little bit of help in getting our admin panel back up and running. During this time, I've taken away the option to do deck voting (because it isn't working, even with the change in code) and I need to figure out which PHP 5.6 code has depreciated enough to the point where I can't use it anymore.
Going to seek out some help with this between now and next week, so hopefully I can get it back together.
With that being said, I think that December is the perfect month for us to catch up on some back end crap while giving you guys some festive treats! Keep an eye out, because we have some plans that we think you guys will enjoy. ^^
I know that I am very behind on badges as well, but I have a fix for that! If there are any December forum threads that are missing, I will be adding them soon (likely tomorrow) when I am updating custom content in the forum! Love you guys. Thanks for all of the patience, angels.

A couple cute wishes this week. First, we have one from Danni in classic Danni style who says

One year ago, on November 24th, 2017, the song Try Again was released on SM Station. It's lyrics? A reminder to remember your purpose and keep going. The vocals? A soothing melody to calm yourself in the most trying times. And the video? A three-minute excuse to stare at Jaehyun's beautiful face.
Now, I'm not gonna lie. Danni wished for everyone to go back and "try again" by taking additional pulls from NCT decks. However, I gotta admit that that sounds like it would benefit her most of all because she would end up taking most of them from you as one of our resident biggest NCTzens. So, I'm modifying it a little (sorry, Danni).
Everyone can choose one artist (that is, one group or solo artist). You can go back to deck releases prior to today, choose three decks from that group/artist and pull two cards from each. "What if the artist I choose has less than three decks?" you may ask. And to that I say "choose a different one, ya brat."
Our second very cute wish comes from Luna who tells us that Saku just got engaged. Congrats, Saku! Luna asked for cards spelling out LUVTAEYONG to celebrate which like...lmao. We like it. NCT day. Choice cards spelling out LUVTAEYONG, no more than two per deck, decks must have been released BEFORE TODAY!
Okay I've just had another wish submitted to me, by my best friend who is sitting next to me right now. We know that one of the biggest frustrations with our site is the fact that it doesn't FREAKING REMEMBER you and you have to relogin every time you come here. Caitlin has been taking courses on coding and honestly she's a genius imo but this is one thing she hasn't quite figured out how to do yet because cookies are delicious, but complicated. She wants me to tell you guys that if you don't close your browser, it will keep you logged in for two weeks, so that's great for all of you like me who never actually turn your computer off. She is working on a bunch of new coding for the site, though, so I'm excited for some changes coming up! She wants you all to know she IS going to get to custom content but right now she's just very motivated to code and create things and she's on a roll so we're gonna let her go. That's all!

Hi, angels! let's start with the usual nonsense, since I always say "this is going to be a small update" and then I suddenly decide to tell you everything in my heart. That's what this top half of the update is now dedicated to. My heart.
Please do not misunderstand. I love having these decks! I enjoy going to an artist set page and seeing the "other" header at the bottom, because I know that some of the best music videos do not have an era attached to them. I get it, I love these songs and these videos as much as you guys. I just think that our focus should remain on eras instead of trying to decide how to sort an SM Station music video or a solo artist music video that doesn't belong in this TCG but features an idol in the song. We're doing our best and it's definitely not a priority to us. We really don't want to put a cap on these decks because of how complicated they're making our sorting methods, which are already complicated to begin with because nothing is really easy...
I want you guys to continue donating these decks, but maybe not with as much enthusiasm as we have seen since we began allowing them. There are bigger fish to fry, we think, but we are not trying to discourage our members entirely because we also enjoy them. As you already know.
We have also been receiving more and more requests to expand our dates, as we only accept 2015 and beyond. Again, I don't want to discourage anyone, but it will likely be a long time before we attempt 2014 and before. We have over 1200 donations from 2015-today, and that number grows every month. There's plenty of content and we're really sorry if our cut off has caused us to overlook some of your favorite groups, but it is really for our sanity and to try and ensure that we're getting quality content. Some artists would not be an issue and making decks would be easy as pie, but that's not something I can say for most.
tl;dr WE REALLY LOVE THE ENTHUSIASM AND YOU GUYS ARE PRECIOUS AND IMPORTANT BUT MAYBE WE'RE STRUGGLING TO KEEP UP WITH NON-ERA MUSIC VIDEOS AND THE QUESTIONS THAT COME WITH THEM IN A TCG THAT IS REALLY JUST FOR ERAS THAT ALREADY HAS 1200 DONATIONS but also keep donating them LMAO THESE ARE MIXED SIGNALS?

We don't usually do monthly updates. The last few months have all ended/started quite close to Sunday, so it was easy to justify skipping it. I thought about waiting until our Sunday update before posting new topics and swapping the games out, but that really felt like a lot of lost time. Basically three whole days. So here I am and it's wonderful to see you all again.

Donations have been refreshed and the no-new-era rule is no longer being enforced! It was a great month, though. The donations that we received were very meaningful and we really appreciate the way you have all come together for the site.

It's back, and I don't think that any of you are going to be too surprised by this choice after our event last month.
After crowning Dhee, the original member of the month, I had been trying to avoid crowning another one of my daughters for a while. We want to make sure we're not too biased in our choices! Crossy knew this, and she still hustled like an absolute beast last month to try and help us bring down the Cardkoth and bring her brother home. Not only did she pass in 114 masteries, she actually missed out on handing in another 30-some, as the timer ran out. On top of all that, she gave away 37 boy decks to good homes to help other people reach the tiers and different weekly goals. She worked hard for herself, but she also worked hard for her fellow members and I think everyone really appreciated that!
She has honestly been earning this title since prejoin, we've just been keeping it from her. We're sorry, Crossy! You really have earned this, and we love you.

Hello my sweet angels! I am actually a little bit sorry for how late this is coming out. Nikki and I have had a really busy weekend and maybe I made a mistake when I told my only other friend that I would help him pick up a couch this afternoon in my SUV. We ran a little later than I had originally planned for! But I'm here now, and I don't have a whole lot to say this week.

Alright, this is going to be a very packed update so I am just going to get on with it and try to avoid needless filler. With the exception of this paragraph.

Boo is back and it's all thanks to the hard work of our incredible members. I didn't want to mention this again, but I just can't help but to remind all of you of how impressed and thankful we are for the enthusiasm and the participation.
3121 decks were mastered during the duration of the event, with even more that had just missed the deadline. That's an average of 51 decks per member, which is way more than we had originally planned for. We thought that it would be great if our members could master seven decks a week... Instead, we wound up like this only three weeks into the event. You guys really went above and beyond to help us wipe out the nasty Cardkoth! Now that

what's next?
You guys deserve a break and an opportunity to do something that doesn't require nearly as much upkeep or trying. Attack of the Cardkoth was our Halloween event by all means, but we thought it might be fun to do some forum trick-or-treating.
We think that the honor system works best. Leave out a bowl of candy while you explore the neighbourhood, and watch as the local children leave you a list of what they took!

I should have done this a thousand years ago, but I have finally fixed the Hopefully Sky era deck so that it follows the right format for our other decks. This is not a case of swapping out cards! This is a case of changing the names of your cards.
APINK-HOPEFULLYSKYEUNJI has become EUNJI-HOPEFULLYSKYERA.
There have been some minor card fixes as well! I was originally planning on making a zip of ALL of our cards, but there's a lot going on inside of our card folder. Instead, these are the cards that we've fixed since the dawn of time.
DOWNLOAD CARD FIXES HERE. This includes all of the IOI-DREAMGIRLS mastery badges, as the colors were wrong on a few of them and I can't tell which ones anymore. Includes badge fixes for ASTRO-CRAZYSEXYCOOLMJ, RV-DUMBDUMB and card fixes for EXO-MONSTERCHANYEOL, SKZ-DISTRICT9 and SVT-DONTWANNACRYTHE8! Upload these to your site and refresh your cache if you've been a member for more than a few weeks.
card chain changes
Card Chain is definitely the most valuable forum game, but I think that the way we're using it might be a little unusual. I let it slide during the event, but the amount of people who are setting one another up is taking away from the fun. It has definitely gotten out of hand, and I hope that you can understand why we need to put an end to this. I have no issue with friends setting each other up in private, but I'd like to put an end to every card chain being a set up through our Discord channel. In the end, we feel like maybe this isn't entirely fair to those who are not part of the Discord and I want to see this game played as properly as possible. It isn't always meant to work out, and sometimes to get all of your plays in, you may have to make a random chain that doesn't exactly help you. You guys get to chose what card you take, and what theme the next person must follow, but I think that too many people are directing the person before them.
Over the next few days, I suspect people are still going to attempt to set up a chain because they won't read this paragraph, but I do ask that you kindly remind them and do not scold them or hurt their feelings. This paragraph is here and a little nudge in the right direction will bring their attention to it.

Boo Seungkwan is definitely coming home. But not quite yet...
Although we have already exceeded 2000 decks, we think there may be a very slight chance that have accidentally miscalculated the amount of Cardkoth we're dealing with here. This is something that we can only do once. If our mastered decks do not wipe out the entire hive in one blow, they may wind up having enough time to regenerate before we can finish them off. We have to be very careful and play it as safe as humanly possible.
We can not take any chances, so we will be giving everyone a few more days to pass in any mastered decks before we finally take the Cardkoth out for good and watch them turn to dust. The more mastered decks we have, the better the chances that we've done enough to defeat them. Too much is better than too little in this case.

With our third and final pit stop, we're doing things a little bit differently than before. If you have not yet reached the minimum requirements or the additional tiers, our members will have the remaining duration of the event to match these numbers or exceed them. Once the timer hits 0, no more mastered decks can be added to your counts and the pit stop can no longer be played. Please ensure that you are getting any additional decks posted before this time, especially if you are looking to take additional rewards for tier 1 and tier 2.
As the event comes to a close, we encourage members to hand in everything they have. When the timer hits 0, we will be putting mastery rewards back to the initial 5 cards you were all receiving before. Currently, members receive 7 during the event.
For those of you who have already hit the pit stop tiers, it may feel unnecessary to master any additional decks. Please keep in mind, however, that it is entirely for your benefit. Not only do you receive additional mastery rewards until the clock runs out, but we will also be giving out additional rewards at the end that will match the effort each individual member has put in. This is why we encourage everyone to participate, no matter how much they can contribute. Even 1 deck will be worth something in the end.

Hello sweet angels! Your admin team is back with another beautiful Sunday update. This will be absolutely nothing out of the ordinary and there are no extremely important announcements that I can think of.
The event is in full swing, and we're so impressed with the amount of masteries that have been rolling in! At this rate, I think we're going to be able to save Boo Seungkwan from the Cardkoth and reopen his trade post. I know you're all missing him. I can't wait for him to come back.
