Hello cuties! Welcome back to Idolise and your regularly scheduled Sunday update. We have another quick one for everybody today! The whole world is tired, and we are no different.
Small Note About Mastery Errors
In the past, before I reworked our database, we handled masteries in a rather complicated way. We would request the members, after accidentally mastering the wrong deck, go ahead and master the correct deck. This was to cut down a step in the error handling process.
However! This is no longer the case, and it has been creating a little bit of extra work for Haylee, who handles the mastery errors on the forum.
Going forward, when a deck is accidentally mastered, please take those rewards (change the deck name when importing into your logs) and simply let Haylee know on the forum which deck you intended on mastering. She will change the mastery to the correct deck. There is no need to master the correct deck on your part.

Hello and welcome back to Idolise for your regularly scheduled Sunday update! Today marks a brand new month, but we are going to keep this update as light as we can! I know that I've mentioned this every week, but your admin team has been really tired lately... I am in the busiest semester of my school career, and Nikki is trying to get into the swing of very difficult shift work. Life comes at you hard and fast, right? And while we may not be doing anything special, we do promise to be here every Sunday. Like always!
Your patience, as always, is really appreciated! We love this site and we have no plans on stopping the usual operations. Thank you for sticking with us and playing our little game. We really do love it here.

But, with that being said! We have decided to take a break from MOTM in November. This is due to the responsibility that comes along with letting our members choose which decks they would like to have released. Nikki and I will not be choosing decks, but instead, will simply be standing in for the purpose of 'Only You' choice cards this month.

Halloween Party: The Lame Finale
Nikki and I had originally planned something for this week, but we've both been incredibly busy. It has been really difficult for us to find the motivation, and we know that you guys will understand!
Instead, we thought that it might be nice to give you guys some choice cards. It has been a long time since we removed wishes, which was a huge source of choice cards... We're not going to bring that back any time soon, but let's do a wish style gift for you guys this week!
If you have finished the puzzle series, feel free to take choice cards spelling out HAPPY HALLOWEEN. There is no limit on how many cards you can take from a single deck, but the decks you choose from must be released before today. You must also use these choice cards before the 1st of November!
If you have not already done the Halloween puzzles and you are still waiting to participate in the trick-or-treat forum game, this is your final week to do so! This event only runs until Halloween, and all threads will be closed next Sunday with the update.

Welcome back to Idolise for another Sunday update! We are back to your regularly scheduled programming. I am incredibly busy with school, so I am going to keep this very short! But your admins hope that you've all had a wonderful week.
Thank you for all of your warm birthday wishes! You guys are very sweet, and I really appreciate it.

Halloween Party: Puzzle Series
Just like we had mentioned last week, we have Halloween Party games planned for this Sunday and next! This week, we've chosen a very simple puzzle series using music video screenshots that are on-theme. We've avoided gore and things that we thought might be a trigger for our members.
There are 10 rounds, and you will be rewarded 5 cards from the last 200 decks for each round. The last round will include some additional treats!

Hello, hello!
This week is going to be a little bit different... I am not going to lie! I was already feeling very burnt out because of school, and I think that spending time with my family today for Thanksgiving has only made me more tired! I am just not completely feeling up to tackling the update with as much gusto as I normally would.
So I apologize in advance if this update is a little lacking.
Halloween Party: Start
Just like we had mentioned last Sunday, Nikki and I will be rolling out some weekly Halloween related activities, starting with the much-expected Trick or Treat forum game! We know that not everyone loves this sort of game, but just like last year, you will get 3 cards per member that you visit. This randomizer only shows cards from the last 100 decks, which I think makes it worth doing.
We have two many Halloween Party games planned for the next two Sundays, which are also very simple and easy to participate in. We hope you guys will enjoy the extra cards as we roll these out to you!

It's Sunday, and you admins have not forgotten about you by any means. We had plans with friends and thought we should put the update off until after, instead of trying to rush it this afternoon. We know that you guys don't mind! You're all good people.
As you are already aware, we're heading into a new month. This update is going to have a little more content than we normally go for, but we hope that you'll stay and read it all. There is some important stuff in here.
Before we jump into it, here are the event cards.
201101, 2010-motm
Our new member of the month is Aqua! As you guys know, we choose at random every month. Congratulations, friend!
TW: Discussion of sexual assault cases.
This is a much-needed note from Nikki:
Caitlin and I have been discussing the topic a lot over the last few weeks and we've come to a decision with regards to a few decks.
All of former Stray Kids member Woojin and former BAP member Himchan's deck are going to be set to be worth 0 on the site. You will no longer receive these cards in randomizers.
In the future, if you want to master a Stray Kids era or a BAP era you are not required to master either of these member's decks to complete the era. You also can if you'd like.
The reason we're setting them to be worth 0 rather than deleting them outright is that while there hasn't been an admission of guilt or a guilty verdict in court, we're still uncomfortable with the allegations surrounding them and their responses. We held off on making a decision re: Himchan for a long time because we weren't familiar with the case, but after looking into it and receiving some new information this is the decision we're going with. If you want clarification on this decision feel free to message me. I understand that there are still ambiguities in both cases but again, this is what your admins feel comfortable with right now.
With regards to their decks that are currently in upcoming, I still haven't made a decision on what to do there. Neither decks have many votes so I had been leaning toward deleting them, but I may ask for opinions on this. I do apologize to the people who worked hard on donating them.

Regarding Halloween: We have three weeks of simple and fun Halloween events planned. We are going to be rolling them out after this week. We just wanted to let you guys know, because we have been so busy and that has meant putting events on the backburner... But we are planning on giving you guys some things to do to celebrate the spooky season!

Greetings, friends! Welcome back to Idolise for another Sunday update. This is going to be a quick one...
Mastery Stats Changes
Nikki and I took a little time this weekend to wrap up the new Mastery Stats panel. You can find this in the member panel going forward.
The view options that we came up to were suggested by Idolise members a few weeks ago. We are still open to suggestions! If you have an idea for mastery stats, please let us know. Though, we do think there may be a chance that we've covered everything possible at this point.
We are aware that some eras with the '&' symbol and accented letters are appearing strangely. This is due to how PHP handles these special characters, and I will be going through in the near future to try and correct these things.
In the meantime! If you notice any mistakes (an idol's name spelled wrong -- a group showing up twice), please let us know on the forum. We found quite a few errors on our own this weekend, but we are always looking for another set of eyes to help us tidy things up.

It's a new month, and that means a brand new MOTM! For the month of September, Madita has taken over. We'll be releasing one deck of her choosing every Sunday in September.

Friendly Reminder: Error Reporting
As we head into our third Idolise year, Nikki and I have taken on a very similar role as Idolise admins. We're splitting work better as life comes at us fast, and that means that we have more to communicate with one another.
We always appreciate when our members report errors to us, but they are getting a little bit harder to track when they come into our Discord DMs and aren't done through the forum. Discord-reported errors have a higher chance of being forgotten, as we often receive them during a time when we can't fix them immediately. They're read, but not fixed, and thus get lost in our other DMs.
This is just a reminder that all errors should be reported through the site via the forum. If it's a little more personal, or you have a concern... Of course, please reach out to us individually! But due to the fact that Nikki and I are both tackling these errors now, it's important that they go on the forum for that reason.
Boo Fairy Helpers Wanted
We introduced the Boo Fairy concept in January 2019, and as a lot of you already know, Amber was one of our original helpers! She stuck with us for a very long time and was incredibly reliable. She has recently made the decision to focus on other things and is taking a step back from the fairy life! If you see her around the Discord, give her a little thanks for all of her hard work. We're going to miss her!
We thought that it might be nice to bring a few new people into our team. We currently have three fairies (Mio, Haylee, and Jules), with Nikki and I helping out as we put the feelers out to see if anyone would be interested in giving a hand.
We are currently hoping to have one or two new helpers, which would mean visiting 10-15 members each week. On average, this seems to take our fairies about 30 minutes! It is a very simple job, but we think that it brings a little joy to our members. Especially our new friends who may not have a lot of must-have cards in their trade posts yet.
If you are interested in joining the team and giving us a hand with Boo Fairy trades, please DM Caitlin on the forum!

We will now be releasing 16 (instead of 20) decks each week. This will include 15 decks that have been chosen by the members through our deck vote and one additional deck that will be chosen by our MOTM. Because the MOTM deck is a bonus deck, it will not be included as part of our 1-deck-per-artist limit. You'll notice today that we have to Oh My Girl Decks!
