We really don't know how to say this without scaring all of you, but we can't keep our members in the dark for any longer than we already have. Seungkwan is missing and we desperately need your help to get him back. That's the only reason we haven't gone to the authorities yet, because we're afraid of what might happen to him if we're not careful or secretive about saving him.
As most of you are aware, we experienced some major downtime last night. We contacted our host and discovered that our details may have been compromised, but that everything should be fine as soon as we're able to get back into our admin panel. We weren't worried until we discovered the new index page, as well as Boo's missing status. This is no longer a simple hacker case, this is a legitimate hostage situation.
attack of the cardkoth
The people who took Seungkwan do not look like us or act like us. They aren't people at all. We thought they were a myth, but the legendary Cardkoth are real and they're here to take our beautiful TCG away from us. The Cardkoth are minions from another world. It's said that they wipe out entire trading card games in just a matter of months by taking over real estate and eating cards until there's nothing left. They normally make it look natural, by creating fake weekly updates and eventually closing after showing less and less interest. Luckily, we've revealed the inner workings of their index to you guys and exposed it for what it really is. A card sacrifice.
The TCG Wikia is full of games that they've destroyed, but they've finally made a huge mistake. Boo Seungkwan doesn't run this joint, we do, and we're gonna take back what's ours. My freaking BABY SON IS OUT THERE AND WE NEED TO DO SOMETHING.
We were up all night doing research and I don't know how much you guys are going to like what we found out. There have been very few recorded cases where the Cardkoth have been defeated, but the deep web has provided us with everything we need to protect our little community and not become another causality. As it turns out, the Cardkoth are unable to eat cards that have already been mastered. There's something about those sets of 20 that make them sick! They seem to avoid them, just in case. We also learned that each mastery that is handed in causes a Cardkoth to die. They expect to lose hundreds of Cardkoth during each takeover, but there are at least 2000 currently living in this hive. They aren't afraid of a few hundred lost.
We need to take them out once and for all. We have created a game-plan HERE and will be grouping up every Sunday and Wednesday for more supplies, since you guys are going to need a lot of help to take the Cardkoth down. We do recommend reading the information/rules, since we're not going to give out supplies to people who aren't looking to help.
Despite everything that is going on, we decided that it's really important to us that we provide an otherwise regular playing experience for our members. We don't know if this TCG will make it through the month, but we are going to do our best.
EDIT: The first pit stop is going to be a requirement of at least 3 decks mastered!
games, games, games
Because of some downtime, we've decided to give our members a few additional hours for our forum games. We have already created a new Scavenger Hunt, and Freebies topic, but the old ones won't be locked and closed until after 6pm on the forum clock. New topics for card chain and higher or lower will arrive at the same time!
SET 2 and our WEEKLY SET have both been updated. Please play these!
Reminder: Monthly games are still being refreshed tomorrow/after midnight. Please don't play these yet! We'll make a note when those are updated tomorrow, since there will not be an update for that specifically. We really do want you guys to have as many cards as possible to defeat the Cardkoth, so we'll be posting about this through Twitter and Discord.
deadlines
You guys are already aware, but here's a quick reminder: DUE AT 11:59:59PM
I don't think it's necessary to give any additional time for these, as it is the last day and they should all be finished. If there are any issues, let us know!
october donations
As the future of the TCG is uncertain, we think that taking on new eras in the month of October would be kind of crazy. For the sake of slowing things down while the Cardkoth devour our site whole, we thought it might be better to only allow our members to fill existing eras.
We'll be including further guidelines for this in our October claims post, so please look out for that!
